it seems you have PFPS. where patella is too much in contact with the bones- femur and tibia, where it might be gliding,and creating wear and tear.
Next Steps
should train knee musculature specially VMO. that is medial side of the quadriceps muscles.

Hi the X-ray seems fine.. the pain could be because of the trauma of the injury or fall Wait for 3 days if the pain doesn’t subside consult a Physio

consult online for proper assessment, the x-ray seems to be normal, the paij you are syffering with might be due to overuse of muscles, need more details. Apply hot pack with diclofenac application twice a day for 15mins. Consult online for proper assessment to get proper treatment.

X-ray doesn’t show any major concern. Pain can be result of any trauma, overuse, wrong posture, muscular or due to ligament injury; which is difficult to rule out from x-ray alone.
