Hello dr... I'm a breastfeeding mother of a 1yr 3 months old baby... I wanted to ask that can I have kayam churna while I'm breastfeeding
(though not that much, I feed only while making baby sleep) ??
If yes , what should be the dosage?

I would not advise kayam churna or any other laxative.
Rather have fibrous food.
Or if you want to have, go for the mild one .
Best is have warm water + ghee empty stomach.
Avoid tea , coffee.
Have light food.
avoid self medication. Kayam churna is habit forming. Eat fresh fruits.
Don't worry ayurvedic medicine is very effective in this condition. with detail history taking we can advice you proper protocol of treatment.
advice- Reduce sugar, salt and maida from food. Follow Daily regime and have a healthy lifestyle.
Its not advisable for long term. better to concentrate and work on root cause of your indigestion and constipation. only kayam churna will not be the solution. you have to take it kayam (for permanent) if you dont focuses on your digestion.

Hi,you can take kayam choorna in a small quantities, as you have mentioned that ,you are still breastfeeding, you have to increase roughage of green leafy vegetables more amount of fibres regularly ( soluble fibres) ,as it looks like your constipation is vata and pitta , where you require to include more fluids so that slowly you can get normal bowel movement
