Joint and calf discomfort with fatigue can be worsened by prolonged standing, but your previously raised TSH also needs proper follow-up.
Please do not stop or restart thyroid or uric-acid medicines on your own; repeat TSH with free T4 and review the result with a physician.
Depending on examination, CBC, vitamin D/B12, calcium, kidney function and inflammatory markers may be useful; gentle stretching and activity modification can help meanwhile.
Please book an appointment for a musculoskeletal and thyroid review, sooner if a joint becomes red/swollen or weakness, numbness or inability to walk develops.
Uric acid 9.3 aur previous TSH 8.69 elevated the. Thyronorm course ke baad repeat testing zaroori hai; joint symptoms ko sirf uric acid se explain nahi kiya ja sakta.
Prescription:
• Abhi uric-acid medicine/Thyronorm bina repeat reports ke restart na karein.
• Paracetamol 500 mg SOS for pain, if needed.
Next Steps
Repeat TSH + FT4, uric acid, CBC, creatinine/eGFR. Reports ke basis par treatment decide karein. Uric acid >9 mg/dL mein gout risk higher hota hai, but long-term urate-lowering medicine depends on gout attacks, kidney disease/stones and other factors.
Health Tips
Hydration maintain karein, alcohol/beer aur high-purine foods (organ meat, red meat, certain seafood) limit karein. Painful/red/swollen joint ho to examination karayein
Uric acid is high, but elevated uric acid alone does not mean gout. Treatment depends on whether you have documented gout attacks, kidney stones or other risk factors.
Rx/Advice:
Increase water intake.
Reduce alcohol, sugary drinks and excess red meat/organ meat.
Do not continue/start uric-acid medication without medical review.
Repeat TSH + Free T4 now, as the previous TSH was 8.69. Thyronorm dose should be decided based on the current results and clinical assessment.
For persistent joint pain/swelling, examination is needed to determine whether this is actually gout or another joint problem.
Next Steps
You may consult me on Practo for review of your thyroid and uric acid reports and a personalised treatment plan.
Repeat TSH, T4 and Uric acid and review.
A consultation would help assess the reports and decide whether thyroid or uric acid treatment needs adjustment.
9.3 mg/dL = hyperuricemia
Joint attack = Gout
TSH = 8.69 means hypothyroidism. Do a Free T4 (FT4).
Allopurinol is the first line of drugs. It is continued till uric acid is less than 6.
may be uric acid levels might be still high. 10 days of febuxostat or uric acid controlling medicine is not enough. it needs to be taken for some more duration especially when UA is so high.
get the test done and review.
