Chikungunya-joint pain
I have been diagnosed chikungunya today and facing a lot of joint pains. Are these joint pains chronic or life long? Any tips to reduce these joint pains

The body and joint pain associated with chikungunya usually lasts up to 2 weeks , rarely even longer.Drink plenty of water ,use vitamin c ,and over the counter pain killers. You can also try applying the mixture of garlic paste and clove oil over the joints, effectiveness varies from person to person.

Depends on how long you plan to survive after Chikunguniya. The joint pain normally lasts for about two weeks in most of the patients . If you are alive after two weeks then in your case it is not lifelong.

OK Start antioxidants  vitamin c  and vitamin b12 Use cold and hot compression  on joint  for 1 min each .alternate Repeat  for 3 times Drink plenty water slowly

Chickungunia pain usually better in 5 days and by 10 days complete recovery, very rarely it has prolonged pain
