First of all sleep disturbance is  not only a single symptom Difficulty in initiation and midnight awakening, difficulty in falling asleep after midnight awakening are also associated with mood disturbances as anxiety or low mood You should not take only zolpidem Must plan a consultation for detailed assessment, medications will be planned, zolpidem with anxiolytic or antidepressant, further only single medication will be continued, zolpidem tapered

Hii. As you are under stress the situations are making you anxious and unable to handle the stress which is causing sleep disturbances.. Instead of just sleep medication other anxiolytic medications can help you to handle stress as well as for sleep. There is a need for changing medication according to your problem
Next Steps
consult online for further assessment and treatment
