Infection due to wisdom teeth
Hi,
i am having infection in inside cheeks due to wisdom teeth. doc recommended me for wisdom teeth extraction. Can filing of wisdom teeth solve the issue?

If wisdom tooth is causing problems and it can not be filled then only the doc goes for extraction. Without x ray no opinion can be given

Since their is infection due to wisdom tooth , so merely filling it won't resolve your problem.. you have to get it extracted.

Whether the problem can be solved with a filling or it needs Root canal treatment or extraction..it depends upon the status of your tooth.

since you are having infection which already spread in to soft tissue ie cheek it is very difficult to manage it with filling. Option of root canal is available only for cases where mouth opening is large and angulation of tooth is favorable and other arch wisdom tooth is erupted properly and in good condition.

get OPG done so that you will get idea about your concerned tooth as well other wisdom tooth in a single xray
