I feel my night guard is loose
Hello. I want to know does the night guard become loose with time? I have started using it since two weeks only and I think it has become loose and might fall on even though it hasn't.. initially, it was tight and fine. . I'm not sure if I am just over thinking perhaps.. I am worried to be added in the night because I think it might fall down and enter my food pipe./ I haven't been to my dentist because I think that it might be stupid query so I am asking her if you can help me out please

Hello. I am sure your dentist had performed all the necessary tests and trials and checkups before advising you for the night guard. One thing you should not worry about is swallowing it. Why? Because, it is quite big to be swallowed in sleep. you will definitely know. Second thing is, it is not a stupid question to ask to your dentist. Third thing of it getting loose might be because of the material used to make it. sometimes materials loosen with time just like you shoes.
Next Steps
since you are quite young, please consult a specialist doctor for the re-evaluation of the need of the night guard in your case.
Health Tips
Try not to sleep during the day so that it helps you sleep better at night with or without night guard.

Hi, It is advisable to visit your dentist just to be sure its not loose. It is possible that your just starting to feel comfortable with the splint and that is why you feel it is loose. But it is always better to check once to be safe.
