Is mouth or night guard safe?
I think I might have overbite , like I feel my upper teeth touching my lower lip slightly and they hurts, touching my upper lip slightly as well , i learnt from some people that a mouth or night guard helps , can I use it to prevent it from getting bad and potentially treating it , i practice mewing hold my tongue very lightly without touching my front teeth from behind don't hold too tight ,don't grit my teeth too apply even resting to entire upper surface should I stop mewing and does mouth or night  guard helps , please answer

Nightguard will not correct the overbite problems. It is advised for a different purpose.  If you are biting or injuring yourself due to your bite in sleep , then it may be helpful.

Better diagnosis can be done on physical examination. Overbite is of two types- normal bite and Deep bite. If you have a deep bite, that will need orthodontic intervention. Visit your nearby Orthodontist for  better understanding. Night guard helps in curbing night grinding habits. It is also used in deep bite cases to prevent further  damage caused by deep bite. It's not the solution to it.   There's very little scientific evidence on mewing to reshape jawline.
