Weight in principle increase by consuming more food (calories) than you ca burn in the entire day. But sometime appetite is so low that one cannot eat more food. Or sometimes metabolism is too fast.
Next Steps
You should eat energy dense and starchy foods like 4-5 bananas per day, white rice, potatoes, sweet potatoes, home made butter & ghee etc.

Hi, Consume more protien foods like Egg whites, chicken, lean meat, fish etc. if you are a non vegetarian and dhal if you are a vegetarian. Inlcude soaked/ Boiled channa for breakfast. Drink whole milk with honey. Also eat red banana with honey everyday. Take banana milkshakes and smoothies with honey. Include cheese, paneer, butter, ice creams with fruits etc. provided you do good amount of physical activity. Walking at least. If you are not gaining weight in spite of all this, better consult a general physician. But its better to try changes in food first. Hope this helps you. Wishing you good health.
