A raised TSH with normal T3 T4 points to subclinical hypothyroidism.62.5 mcg thyronorm is an ideal initial treatment.Get your TSH level after 2 months to compare, and adjust the dose accordingly under the supervision of your physician

Please increase your Thyronorm to 75mcg and after 6 weeks have TSH rechecked. Basically your TSH should be less than 5. All the best. www.jgsr-health-education.in

Your reports show: • TSH = 11.13 mIU/L • T3 and T4 = Normal This indicates: Subclinical hypothyroidism Since TSH is above 10, treatment is generally recommended even if T3/T4 are normal. Now regarding Thyronorm 62.5 mcg (Levothyroxine): For most adults: • Starting dose ranges between 25–75 mcg • 62.5 mcg is a reasonable starting dose in many cases Whether it is appropriate depends on: • Your age • Weight • Symptoms • Cardiac history • Whether this is new diagnosis or long-standing If you are: • Young (below 50) • No heart disease Then 62.5 mcg is generally appropriate. If elderly or heart patient → usually start lower. So based only on TSH 11.13:
Next Steps
✔ Continue Thyronorm 62.5 mcg daily ✔ Take on empty stomach (morning) ✔ Wait 45–60 minutes before food ✔ Avoid calcium/iron within 4 hours Very Important: Repeat TSH after 6–8 weeks. Dose adjustment depends on repeat TSH: • If TSH 0.5–3 → dose correct • If still >5 → dose may need increase • If
Health Tips
• Take tablet at same time daily • Do not skip doses • Weight changes can affect dose • Stress and illness can temporarily alter TSH • If planning pregnancy, tighter control needed (TSH

Your TSH is high, which suggests your thyroid dose may need adjustment even if T3 and T4 are normal. Do not change the dose on your own.
Next Steps
Please consult me so I can review your reports properly and adjust the medication safely.

Dear Patient, Your TSH is 11.13 while your T3 and T4 are within normal range. This indicates subclinical hypothyroidism (elevated TSH with normal thyroid hormones). You are currently taking Thyronorm 62.5 mg. What you should do - Continue the current dose if you do not have significant symptoms such as fatigue, weight gain, or cold intolerance - Your doctor may consider adjusting the dose gradually depending on symptoms, age, and other health conditions - Recheck TSH after 6–8 weeks of dose adjustment to assess response - Maintain regular follow-up for monitoring heart health and any side effects When to consult me - Persistent hypothyroid symptoms despite treatment - Signs of over-replacement: palpitations, tremors, weight loss, heat intolerance - Any new cardiovascular symptoms or other health concerns For further guidance and personalized treatment you may consult me on Practo anytime.
