High LDL and total cholesterol
Total Cholesterol   - 305 LDL Cholesterol - 216 HDL - 55 triglycerides -220 my age is 30, I am bit worried if values are too high to affect heart. should i start taking medicines or exercise should be sufficient? also does smoking also play a role here?

Those lipid profile readings are a bit high.Smoking definitely has adverse effects on your cardiovascular health . Avoid smoking, modification of your diet and lifestyle , and exercise for 30 minutes a day .As a primary prevention you need medicine for lowering the cholesterol with a goal of 100 mg LDL.Perhaps later on you can depend upon diet , exercise.
