High Cholesterol, Artery Plaque Reductio
Before this past winter I went in for a blood test. During the test it was found that my cholesterol was a little high, barely within reasonable ranges. As a 21 year old male in college, you can imaging my diet is not very good. However, in light of this test, I have realized I need change. My questions are: If plaque has already been building in my arteries, is there some way, short of surgery that I can diminish it? Can you direct me to any studies that indicate foods that might help?

Hey High cholesterol at this age should be maintained else can create problems further. You can get tests done for Plague formation. And yes there are correct foods and food groups which can certainly help you. You need to follow correct diet pattern . Intake of green leafy vegetables, fruits etc is very important. Avoid mango , cheeku , banana, grapes and litchi if diabetic or history of diabetic. Milk - prefer toned or double toned. Cut out extra Salt and sugar. Avoid drinking and smoking if there. Start with some physical activities also. Right food and exercise can help you lowering down the cholesterol. Regards, Godiets.
