The term heavy tooth is not suggestive of a diagnosis
Extraction of a tooth is generally advised in cases
1. when the there not enough tooth material left in the mouth to be able to restore it.
2. Grossly decayed tooth
3. Tooth has lost a lot of bone around it and is mobile now
All attempts are made to save the tooth however if the prognosis is very poor only then we remove the tooth
An X-ray of that region will help me analyze ur situation better
