Low hemoglobin may be due to iron deficiency, vitamin deficiency, chronic blood loss, or less commonly other medical conditions. Proper diet helps, but the cause should also be identified if Hb is significantly low or persistent.
Next Steps
-CBC with RBC indices, serum ferritin, iron profile, Vitamin B12, folate -Stool occult blood test if chronic blood loss suspected -If iron deficiency confirmed: -Tab Ferrous Ascorbate providing elemental iron 100 mg once daily after food for 3 months -Tab Folic acid 5 mg once daily for 4–6 weeks if folate low -Iron-rich foods: spinach, dates, jaggery, lentils, beans, red meat, liver, beetroot -Take Vitamin C sources (orange, lemon, amla) with iron-rich meals for better absorption.
Health Tips
-Avoid tea/coffee immediately after meals as they reduce iron absorption -Calcium supplements/milk should not be taken together with iron tablets -Continue regular walking/exercise unless severe weakness or breathlessness -If Hb is very low (

Eat iron-rich foods (meat, lentils, spinach) paired with Vitamin C (citrus, peppers) to boost absorption and increase hemoglobin. Avoid consuming high amounts of calcium-rich foods (like excessive dairy) and tannin-heavy drinks (like tea or coffee) Do consult for proper treatment plan

Hey gentleman! You need to do or share your complete blood count reports. Generally beetroot, dates and green leafy vegetables have comparatively high iron contents. If you have already tried these things then you should look for the cause of low haemoglobin. Sometimes it can be due to other causes and not lack of iron. You can definitely connect with me if you want detail explanation and to give complete history.
Next Steps
Do cbc if not. If already done then moderate anaemia would require additional supplements and severe anaemia would require admission.
Health Tips
At 43 years you should first find out the cause of low haemoglobin.

Low hemoglobin may be caused by iron deficiency anemia, vitamin B12 deficiency, folate deficiency, poor diet or inadequate nutrition, chronic blood loss (including stomach bleeding), worm infestation, chronic infection/disease, or thyroid and kidney disease. You need to visit our clinic. We will take your history and examine you properly. If required, we will advise investigations and then suggest the appropriate medications and diet plan.

The question here is why your hemoglobin is low. you need to get evaluated. And if the hemoglobin has gone down recently and blood investigations show iron deficiency, you should get an endoscopy as well as a colnoscopy done for screening as well.
Next Steps
Consult your trusted physician or gastroenterologist.
Health Tips
Once more dangerous conditions are ruled out, your doctor can advise supplements and dietary modifications to improve hemoglobin
