Professional approach requires cleaning and polishing. But at present due to Covid,take:-
•Omnident toothpaste and brush with soft brush from gums towards the teeth
•Apply Astrigum gum paint massage in circular motion as if attaching gums to the teeth 2-3 times daily for a week
•Warm saline rinses between meals
•Use floss or interdental brush between teeth especially after eating fibrous foods like cucumber
Health Tips
Always brush from gums towards the teeth .Start from gums at 45°angle and towards the teeth
Gum bleeding most commonly occurs due to presence of deposits in your teeth which have extended below your gums. Your gums have receeded because of your faulty brushing technique mostly. Still to confirm a clinical assessment is required and rule out any other possibilities. A professional scaling is required once the lockdown is lifted.
Next Steps
In the mean time, try using warm saline mouthrinse ( salt in luke warm water) do it 3-4times a day. The bleeding will not entirely stop unless the deposits are removed. Stolin gel can be applied if gums are swollen up and bleeding is present. Other salt water is enough. Use a hexidine mouthwash to reduce the bacterial count. Twice daily 30 mins after brushing, mix with water, not to be used more than 2 weeks.
Health Tips
Do not brush forcefully but brush carefully. Once a proper gum and teeth cleaning is complete. Proper instructions such as how to brush correctly and how to use a floss/interdental brush as in when required needs to be demonstrated.
