Now the pain has heightened and I am taking ultracet 3 times a day. I have been trying some stretching but the relief is only for sometime. The pain again comes back. What should I do?

Hi there, Could you please describe the exact location of your pain? It will be better for me to help you. Ice the affected area and do not do any stretches. The strained muscle needs rest and any form of activity right now, be it in the form of stretches or strengthening, will aggravate the pain. Keep a pillow in between your knees while lying on your side. Let me know how you feel. Hope u feel better!

It could be due over stretched or strained inner thigh muscle. Take rest for atleast one week. Avoid stretching. You can give ice therapy for 10 minutes twice a day on the inner thigh.
Next Steps
If the pain persist or aggrevates you should consult a physiotherapist in person for complete assessment and treatment.

With rest and proper treatment, most groin strains heal on their own in about 4 - 7 weeks. More severe groin strains can take longer. It is very important to let the strain heal fully before going back to activities. Instead, rest is all about avoiding unnecessary strain on the groin, so avoid kicking, intense exercises such as running, and heavy lifting. If the pain is intense, avoid walking or physical activity for a day or two. If you wont find any improvement in 3 days, then visit physiotherapy clinic and take proper electrotherapy treatment.
