Pain near groin
I am a football player. I experienced some pain in my groin area. The pain isn't so high. But while standing on my single leg gives some pain near the groin area. I think that was because of not doing proper stretching before playing the match.

As you said proper warm-up and cooldown is necessary to prevent injury. So you should do it regularly. You should do butterfly stretch and you can give hot water fomentation.

Proper stretching is must before starting of play or activity involved in continuous movements of the body, if there is any stiffness or tenderness it can be penetrated through stretching. Visit nearest physiotherapy center to point out and diagnose the pain for proper treatment.

Warm up well before playing, stretching is must and if there is any sort of tender point or stiffness reach to your nearest physio and take pin management to reduce the pain.
