It can be because of poor oral hygiene , or not taking the medicines as prescribed or following the proper protocol . You should do warm saline rinses also . And consult with the dentist who is treating you.
Hi.. Being an oral surgeon, I'm very well aware of this.. First thing, your medications might be irregular. Hence the pain.. Secondly, maintain proper cleanliness. Thirdly, use hot compresses/fomentation on your operated side. Warm saline rinses should do wonders.. All this is assuming your extraction was done following proper protocol.. Take care
Hello,
Pain after few days can be because if poor oral hygiene. A common problem among individuals is to avoid cleaning if it is paining. Which further attracts more of debris accumulation. Have a thourough brushing, it will bleed a bit but trust me it will heal

Pain and post surgical discomfort depends mainly on the position of the tooth.better oral hygiene practices really help in managing the discomfort.
Please visit your surgeon who will be the best person to help you.may be a case of delayed healing ?
