Wisdom tooth extraction side effects
Hi Doctors, I got my wisdom tooth extracted on Wednesday and till yesterday I had swelling at the site and today swelling has improved but I'm feeling my jaw has been tight and when I talk/open my mouth/eat something hard I'm having a twitching pain from my jaw to temples and my eye also paining and also having headache. There might be infection. 1. Use warm saline rinses 5 times a day for 7 days. 2. Mouth opening exercises will ease your tightness.

That’s due to inflammation for sure. Don’t worry it’s not going to weaken your eyesight or do any harm to you. Do warm saline rinses as many times as you can. You can continue your anti inflammatory medication for a few days more if you are uncomfortable. Otherwise it’s going to take a few more days to normalise.

Hi, There will be slight discomfort while opening the mouth and while chewing your food. Follow the mouth opening exercises advised by your dentist. It will get back to normal after a few weeks. Take pain killer if required.
