There is no fixed age, but usually height grows till puberty and an year or so after that. Mostly it is genetic, depends on growth hormone, slightly influenced by diet and physical activity.

1. Growth
2. Height
Hormones
In English:
A girl’s height growth depends mainly on puberty and genetics.
1. Till when does height increase?
Most girls grow fastest between ages 10–16.
During puberty (around 11–12 years), a growth spurt happens.
After the first period (menarche), height usually continues to increase for about 2 more years, but at a slower pace.
For most girls, growth stops between 16–18 years. In rare cases, a small increase (1–2 cm) can happen until age 20.
2. Why does height stop?
Height increases because of growth plates at the ends of long bones.
During puberty, estrogen hormone causes these growth plates to gradually close (fuse).
Once the plates are fully closed, bones can no longer grow in length, so height stop.
Next Steps
2. Exercise और Physical Activity
Sports: Basketball, Swimming, Cycling, Skipping (rope jumping)।
3. Sleep
4. Lifestyle
Smoking / Alcohol
Stress
---
(16–18+ years):

In English – Suggestions for Increasing Height
👉 Remember: Height increases only until growth plates are open (usually up to 16–18 years). After that, only posture and fitness can make a visible difference.
If the girl is in growing age (during puberty):
1. Nutrition
High-protein foods (milk, curd, eggs, pulses, paneer, chicken, fish).
Calcium + Vitamin D (dairy, sunlight, leafy greens).
Zinc & Iron (nuts, seeds, beans, spinach).
Avoid junk food and aerated drinks.
2. Exercise / Physical Activity
Regular stretching (yoga like Tadasana, Bhujangasana, Surya Namaskar).
Sports: Basketball, swimming, cycling, skipping.
At least 45–60 minutes of activity daily.
3. Sleep
8–9 hours of good sleep, since growth hormone (GH) is released during deep sleep.
4. Lifestyle
Avoid smoking/alcohol.
Manage stress.
---
If the girl is 16–18+ and growth plates are fused:
Height can’t increase naturally. But:
Correct posture (straight spine, shoulders back).
Yoga & stretching to look taller.
Fitness and healthy weight make personality more attractive.
Puberty age (10–16 yrs): सही nutrition + exercise + sleep = max natural height.
After 18 yrs: Height बढ़ाना possible नहीं, सिर्फ posture और fitness से improvement।
Health Tips
exercise including streching ,yoga , healthy life style, stress free life, good sleep for 7 hrs
Hello Ma’am,
In most girls, height growth stops around 16–18 years, as the bone growth plates (epiphyses) close after puberty. Some may gain a little more height till 20 years, but after that, significant increase is not possible. Genetics, nutrition, and puberty timing decide the final height.

You mean age. It's till 16 years of age usually.. or till growth plates fuse. It varies. But max growth occurs during pre puberty and puberty age group... I.e between 10 to 16.. after that minor growth occurs in few inches at max.

Female height growth is driven mainly by the growth plates (epiphyses) in the long bones, which close under the influence of rising estrogen at puberty’s end, preventing further increase in height.
Most girls reach their final adult height 1-2 years after menarche (first period), which commonly occurs between ages 10 and 16.
By age 18, more than 95% of girls have completed height growth unless rare endocrinological or genetic factors are present.
After age 18, it is extremely rare for height to increase
Next Steps
No active intervention is needed for normal cessation of height growth at age 24.
If there is worry about abnormal short stature or delayed growth, consider consulting an endocrinologist for evaluation (including bone age assessment, hormonal profile)
Health Tips
Beware of products or advertisements claiming to increase height in adults, as these have no scientific validity.
Excessive worry about adult height can affect self-esteem; focus on overall health and fitness.
If there are symptoms suggesting hormonal or metabolic disorders, a medical evaluation is recommended.
