Gall bladder stones
Recently doctor suggested for gall bladder removal surgery for my mom, will this give any side effects. I have heard from my relatives because of this many severe issues will come.is that correct. Do we need to proceed with surgery or is there any alternative.if any sideeffects are there what are they???

Symptomatic gall stone disease needs surgery. There are few conditions where we need to do surgery even for asymptomatic gall stone disease. If not removed there are many complications like pancreatitis, ca gb can occur with gall stone.

Any symptomatic gallbladder stone needs removal. Especially if the patient is having comorbidities like diabetes mellitus. Long standing symptomatic gall stones can lead to infection, more calculus formation, obstruction with jaundice.
