Fever since 5 days
My husband has fever since Saturday 29th August 2026. It's been 5 days still he has 99°f or 100°f from day 1. We consulted doctor on 31st August. taken antibiotics and doll 650 as per doctors advice. The temperature comes normal when he took doll 650 again he has 99°F. Now the temperature is 99°f. Please suggest what to do next?

It must be acute viral fever . You should give him plenty of water , and other liquids. Give him proper healthy diet and if fever exceeds more than 100* you can take pcm and for further assistance can consult me.

Temp 99 is normal, monitor symptoms and they're persistent, consider blood tests ( CBC,CRP, dengue typhoid) ,keep adequate hydration / restbwell

If Temperature increase give
Dolo 650 mg as required.
If still continue above the 100

Temperature of 99 is normal. The normal body temperature range for a healthy adult is generally between 97°F (36.1°C) and 99°F (37.2°C).
Your symptoms are important than temperature.
If you still feel he is feverish, get blood tests done and review.
Get CBC CRP, dengue IgG/M, Peripheral smear for MP, typhoid test done and review

Fever running into the 5th-6th day needs a cause, not just more Dolo. Antibiotics started blindly often don't cover what is actually there - dengue, typhoid, malaria or a urine/chest infection all look like this in the first week.
Next Steps
Get CBC, dengue NS1/IgM, malaria, widal/typhidot, CRP and urine routine done today, and show the reports to a physician. Continue Dolo 650 only when temp crosses 100F, plenty of fluids. If breathlessness, bleeding, severe drop in urine or drowsiness - go to hospital immediately. You can consult me on Practo or at Synergy Multispeciality Hospital, Miraj.

Five days of fever that keeps returning even after antibiotics means you need to be reassessed. This isn't something another round of the same medicine will fix for you.
