Viral fever for more than 5 days
I started feverish feeling and then started medicine, it's been more than 5 days still fever comes and after taking paracetamol 650, body sweats and then becomes normal then again cycle continues. I am worried. Fever rises to 102.

Paracetamol reduces the body temperature .Fever lasting for 5 days or more needs to be investigated.Get your CBC, CRP, urine analysis, typhoid test, dengue and malaria profile

CBC, LFT ,RFT has to be done.

Rather then taking symptomatic treatment
go for complete fever profile to find the cause of fever. It includes
CBC
CRP
PS FOR MP
WIDAL TEST
URINE ROUTINE AND MICROSCOPIC EXAMINATION
CHEST X-RAY
USG ABD
And take treatment as per report.

Fever lasting more than 5 days needs blood tests â don't just manage with paracetamol. Get CBC, dengue NS1 antigen, typhoid (Widal/blood culture), and malaria test done today. Low platelets = dengue; high WBC = bacterial. Each needs different treatment. Paracetamol only brings fever down temporarily, it doesn't treat the cause.

Does the fever comes with chills?
Does it increases at night?
Associated with body pain?
Because all these three scenarios have different diagnosis and treatment starts accordingly.

Get cbc, Typhidot test, dengue, malaria, chickenguniya, tests done and share results.
Till then take tab paracetamol 500mg every 6 to 8 hours. Drink more fluids.
