Hello Sir, fever along with tooth pain may indicate a dental infection or another cause that needs evaluation.
Next Steps
* Please check his body temperature with a thermometer. * Inform the treating dentist about the fever before proceeding with the planned tooth extraction. * Continue prescribed medicines as advised. Do not start antibiotics or change doses without medical advice. * Please consult me on Practo and share his current symptoms, temperature, prescribed medicines, and any relevant reports for further guidance.
Health Tips
* Maintain adequate hydration and take sufficient rest. * If he develops facial or neck swelling, difficulty swallowing or breathing, or rapidly worsening symptoms, seek urgent medical care.

A tooth infection that's been there for 10 days can cause fever on its own, especially if the pills prescribed haven't fully controlled it yet. This needs to be flagged to the dentist before the extraction goes ahead, since operating on an actively infected, feverish tooth isn't always safe.
Next Steps
Call the dentist today about the fever. They may want to delay the extraction a day or two until it settles, or review the antibiotic. Paracetamol and plenty of fluids can help manage the fever until then.
Health Tips
Go to a hospital urgently if there's swelling in the face or jaw, trouble swallowing or opening the mouth, or breathing feels uncomfortable.
