Hello, With complaints of upper chest pain along the upper ribs, neck and back, I few more points are to be considered:- 1. Side of chest and rib pain 2. Event leading to the pain 3. Any recent or regular trauma or left lifting 4.Duration and type of pain 5. Irregular heart beat, sweating, difficulty breating 6. Any symptom of indigestion, pain, movements of food up into food pipe after eating food, lying down immediately after eating food, nausea or vomiting, weight loss or gain, decreased appetite, constipation, loose stools, recent outside good intake 7. Use of alcohol or smoking 8. Type of food consumed, timing of eating food 9. Difficulty breating, recent cough or cold, fever Based upon the complaints, as the ecg appears normal and from the symptoms provided, the provisional diagnosis would be GERD/ Peptic ulcer disease.
