Yes, ghee can be helpful for hard stool/constipation, especially if taken at night with dinner or before sleep. Why it helps ? In Ayurveda, ghee is considered Vata-pacifying and a natural anulomana (mild laxative). It lubricates the intestines, softens stools, and supports smooth evacuation & nourishes the colon (pakvashaya), which is the main seat of Vata. &  Regarding how much is safe for consumption: Usually 1 teaspoon (5 ml) to 1 tablespoon (10-15 ml approx) daily is enough. You can start with 1 teaspoon at dinner mixed in warm food or with a cup of warm milk.If stools remain hard, you can increase up to 1 tablespoon.
Next Steps
[ Results would be better if you take it in morning  before brkfst] Do you want me to also give you an Ayurvedic stool-softening diet plan (foods to add/avoid) along with ghee use?
Health Tips
Precautions: Avoid excess (more than 2 tbsp/day) if you have obesity, uncontrolled diabetes, high cholesterol, or fatty liver. Always take warm ghee (not cold or raw from fridge). For chronic constipation, other supportive measures like warm water in the morning, fiber-rich diet, and triphala at night may be more effective.

Acharya charaka has mentioned ghee as Nitya rasayana ( 1 table spoon of ghee daily will help you built or in the formation of rasa, rakta, mamsa etc., tissues). For chronic hard stool - 1. Need to be assessed causes of hard stool since how many years .... 2. Since there is no clear history.... Proper diagnosis is difficult. 3. Right now 1 table spoon of ghee with warm milk early in the morning for 7 days and give gap for other 7 days and again continue for other 7 days.... Will help you to loose your hard stool.... 4. If that was not working u should take Eranda tailam for hard stool after having proper diagnosis  by Ayurveda physician...... 5. Kindly consult before using anything by own

Yes 👍 — consuming **ghee at dinner time** can be very helpful for **chronic hard stools** in Ayurveda. ### 🔎 Why ghee helps? * It is a natural **Vata–Pitta pacifier** → reduces dryness in the intestines. * Acts as a **mild natural laxative** → softens stool and eases passage. * Nourishes intestinal lining → prevents recurrence of fissure/constipation. --- ### ✅ How to take ghee for constipation * **Quantity**: 1 teaspoon to 1 tablespoon daily (start small, adjust as per digestion). * **Method**: * Mix in **warm milk at night** → classical Ayurvedic remedy for constipation. * Or take with **warm water** after dinner. * If digestion is weak → start with **1 tsp only**, increase gradually. --- ### ⚠️ Safety * Safe for daily use if you **don’t have obesity, uncontrolled cholesterol, fatty liver, or weak digestion (Ajeerna)**. * Too much ghee (>2 tbsp daily) may cause heaviness, indigestion, or loose motions. --- 👉 For **chronic hard stool**, best result comes from **combination**: * **Ghee at night** * *****churna (½–1 tsp with warm water before bed)** for regular cleansing * More **warm water, soaked raisins, figs** daily --- ✨ So yes, **1 tsp – 1 tbsp ghee at night** is safe and effective for hard stools. Would you like me to suggest a **complete Ayurvedic daily routine for smooth bowel movement**, so your constipation doesn’t return again? Advice- self medication is hazardous, always consult ayurvedic doctor before taking ayurvedic medicine. Consult me personally for details.
