A cough recurring for 2 months needs evaluation, not repeated antibiotics or cough syrup. I would assess you for asthma/allergy, post-nasal drip, reflux and other chest causes, with examination and tests if needed. Please avoid self-medication and note any fever, breathlessness, wheezing, weight loss or smoking exposure. You can book a Practo consult with me or visit me at Synergy Multispeciality Hospital, Miraj.
Next Steps
Please arrange a clinical evaluation soon; seek urgent care if breathlessness, chest pain, high fever or blood in sputum develops.
As the cough has persisted for 2 months and keeps recurring, I would recommend that you consult me once. We can discuss your symptoms in detail and decide whether you need any tests such as a chest X-ray/PFT and what treatment would be appropriate.
Next Steps
You can continue Grilinctus for symptomatic relief.
