First thing need to know your family risk factor has any of your parents are having heart disease. Second what type of life style you follow. If sedentary you need to do workout /any excersice. Need to reduce weight if your BMI is high. Avoid smoking if you r doing. Monitor your blood pressure. Reduce stress. Need proper sleep. Avoid unhealthy diet like oily, fatty, spicy. Junk &fast food. Avoid alcohol. At this age if you follow all this your cholestrole levels will be maintained and requirment of medication will be prolonged. But if you are having symptoms of chest heaviness, breathlessness, sweating, numbness in hands that's alaraming to visit doctor as early as possible. At present it's not any concern to be on medication. Need to follow up with report every 6months.

At this stage, you don't need to start any medicine unless you have any cardiac risk factors. You can start diet modification and lifestyle changes including exercise for 30 minutes a day for 5 days , avoiding fatty oily foods, drinking plenty of water, consuming fruits and vegetables will help you. After 3 months recheck the lipid profile ,if still high ,you have to initiate the pharmacological treatment .
