Difference between cleaning and scaling
I am confused what is the major difference between dental scaling and dental cleaning ??? I have tar and black strains on my teeth along with gumline, which treatment I should under go ???

Scaling and Oral prophylaxis are fental terms. Cleaning is layman term. They both refer to the same thing.

Cleaning is lay man term used for scaling. Both are same. Go for it to remove tartar and stains from your teeth.
