Root canal treatment is a treatment done for badly painful or/ and decayed teeth where the nerve called pulp is totally removed and cleaned and filled from the root level.
Cost of both is different in different clinics. We cannot give an accurate cost. All you can do is to call and find out how much each clinic charges

Scaling is basically cleaning of your teeth and gums which can be done in a dental clinic ,plague stains etc settle down with time in between the teeth n gums as well which don’t go even after brushing ,to keep gums and teeth healthy a person can go for scaling every 6-8 months depending on how good you maintain your oral hygiene
On the other hand root canal is the procedure done to save a particular tooth when the tooth has deep cavity or fracture or any other kind of tooth injury or infection ,in this all the infected part of tooth is removed n cleaned and after that permanent filling is done and on top of it crown (capping of tooth) is placed
Cost for both very case to case and clinic to clinic,for normal scaling it would be ranging from RS 500-2000
And for Root canal treatment (RCT) it Would be around Rs 2500 -5000 excluding the cap .
