Diet for Lean PCOD
I have lean PCOD. The only symptom is irregular periods. I got by blood sugar test , it was normal. My gynaecologist said that i can eat anything except white sugar and refined flour. But my dietician is saying that i have to stop eating white rice and dairy milk too. White rice is my soul food. I love it with daal, rajma, as a pulao etc. She is not listening to me. I want to know what other dieticians think about it? P.S- Neither my mother nor my grandmothers or any close relatives have/had PCOD/PCOS and diabetes. I don't have any other disease. My height is 5'5 and weight 44kgs .

Hi Good to note that you don't have any history of pcos or diabetes... You can have white rice provided if you ate very active all day long..and not sitting much and having moderate kind of lifestyle... White rich is almost nil of fibre and very much polished.. as the layers contain good amounts of fibre and which is lost during the process... Instead of white rice brown rice or handpounded or stonepounded rice are the best options for daily eating.. And occasionally you can have white rice too like say for example 5 or 10 times in a month basing on your physical activity levels... If you want to have white rice daily you should be doing hard work like your mommy or grandmother does..that times.. As today's modern world which is devoid of all the traditional way/ system of doing household work at home..so it's better to have the relevant suitable demanding foods of these modern times .. You can go for toned or double toned cow's milk if available..nearby your place Check for overweight if any.. Yes you can have white rice. But better to have unpolished or single polished rice reason is that you need b complex too. Make sure rice is combined with good quality proteins and fiber to make it more healthy  eg soya or peas or Bean's. Hydrate well , avoid milk but ragi jowari bajra can be taken.
