The diet should be focus on

Prevent nutrient deficiency
1. Ear small frequent meals
2. During flare
Add in diet
Soft white rice
Well cooked moong dal
Lauki , pumpkin, parwal soft cooked
Boiled potatoes
Steamed fish
Homemade curd
Coconut water if no diarrhoea worsen
Avoid
Mustard oil tadka , panch phoron in excess, raw salad , cauliflower and cabbage, chana, rajma, fried fish , spicy jhal curries, pickles and papad , milk if lacking intolerance
During flare
Low fiber
During remission- moderate soluble fiber
In IBD (Inflammatory Bowel Disease), diet should focus on reducing inflammation and preventing flare-ups. Simple, easily digestible foods work best, especially during active symptoms.
Foods to Avoid (especially during flare-ups):
- Very spicy, oily, and deep-fried foods
- Heavy gravies and excess mustard oil
- Raw salads and high-fiber foods during active symptoms
- Processed snacks, sweets, and carbonated drinks
- Excess tea, coffee, and full-fat dairy if not tolerated
Foods to Include (as tolerated):
- Soft, well-cooked rice
- Light, well-cooked dals
- Boiled or lightly cooked vegetables
- Steamed or lightly cooked fish (if non-vegetarian)
- Curd, if tolerated
- Adequate fluids and simple home-cooked meals
