It is critical for your mother, who has arthritis and diabetes, to consume meals with a low glycemic index. Choose brown rice over basmati rice, which has a lower glycemic index than white rice. Whole wheat or multigrain flour works best for roti because it contains fiber, which helps manage blood sugar levels. A diet rich in vegetables, lean proteins such as chicken, fish, eggs, tofu, lentils, pulses, and healthy fats will aid in the management of diabetes and arthritis. Also add low fat dairy products to your diet to add some calcium to your diet. Avoid sugary beverages and processed carbohydrates, which can cause inflammation and high blood sugar levels.

For arthritis, remove - Lentils from the diet . Remove non veg foods also . Add - Barley ki roti and ajwain water (boil and strain lukewarm in the night after dinner) With that basmati rice is a good choice but club this with the help of dal and sabji ,don't forget to take salads daily . You can contact me directly on this app as well.

Hi Good afternoon! Diabetes can be easily managed with diet. It’s great that you are looking for lifestyle changes. As long as she eats roti or rice with protein and good amount of fibre, that should be enough. But since you are asking specifically, any type of basmati rice is fine. If you want you can try multigrain atta too if she likes. It’s all about the portion size of rice and roti. Hope this helps
