My husband diagnosed with dengue on 1st day of fever, that day platelet count was 2 lacs. Today on 6th day of diagnosis, the platelet count has fallen to 71 k , but he is not having any severe symptoms, no fever,no vomit, no bodyache, no headache , weakness. Sleeps properly at night
No rash.
He is eating kiwi, papaya leaf extract, papaya, coconut water, half chapati and boiled dal.
My question is ,why is his platelets falling approximately 35 k everyday?
Please help , I am bothered.

Platelet count falls in any viral fever and Dengue is also a viral infection.
But still it is not at a stage when platelet infusion is required.
Your husband is getting appropriate treatment. His platelet count will start rising now.
