Indications for blood tests (Inflammatory markers) 1. Clinical condition 2. Oxygen saturation below 94% 3. Co morbid illness : diabetes etc. 4 . High CT lungs score (ctss) 5. To establish the Baseline parameters. Most doctors prefer doing it for baseline parameters. Since covid is a new infection, no one can predict the underlying blood report value based on clinical condition( symptoms) Hence to be on the safer side and to diagnose any early signs of deterioration Crp and d dimer are done at least once. They may be repeated, only if the earlier test had any abnormal value.
