Crooked teeth
Hi, I have crooked teeth (pic attached). I had braces 10 years ago. And while I wore retainer for almost 1 year after my braces were taken off, even then the upper teeth went back to their original alignment. I am very conscious about my smile, my asymmetric jaw area and the way I talk (the asymmetry plays role in it I guess) I don't know if i should again go for braces? Is there any new technique other than braces or the costly invisalign, which might help in alignment of my upper teeth? Thanks.

Braces or aligners are the best option for teeth alignment but if you are most concerned about your smile and the discoloration in your teeth. You can definitely think of smile correction as an option. Where veneers or crowns will be done for the upper front 6 teeth
Next Steps
consult your dentist for the options

Braces are always good option but  you can also go for Invisalign...also check position of your wisdom tooth in upper and lower jaw(if it's not already extracted)...sometimes they also might be the reason for relapse...Once teeth realigned go for permanent lingual retainers.

Braces would be the best treatment for ur upper malalignment, followed by permanent lingual retainer , to avoid treatment relapse
