Creatine usage
Dear Sir/Madam, can we consume creatine mono hydrate, regularly after gym workout? My goal is to achieve lean muscle mass. Is there any side effects or precautions to be taken? I am planning to take 20 grams per day with water for 10 days. Later take only 5 grams per day. Thanks in advance.

Hi This question is most common one after queries on protein supplements for someone starting on strength training. Few things you need to ask yourself before starting creatine mono supplements: -do you have kidney related issue? -are you taking any medication which may affect kidney function? -are you having swelling issues in your legs/around face and neck? -are you going for strenuous gym training that is weight training is your primary goal? # if answer to first three is no and to last one is yes, then you may consider taking creatine. # but with creatine supplements be aware of stomach issues for few days . it increase water retention and slight weight gain occurs initially. take adequate carb and protein with creatine. regularly go for Kidney Function Tests. Some respond very positively with creatine and some are non responder this is not with type of brand but related to your muscle physiology and genetics, that's the way it is.
