Sir first when and why it was started, second when the chest pain occurs check the ribs and rib cage move are not, if it is move then check with movement like flexion or extention. If u have any breathing problem with chest pain I suggest visit ones cardio-respiratory physiotherapist, may be you require PFT with PEFR, MIP AND MEP with respiratory muscle training

Your pain could be due to muscle spasm.  You should give hot water fomentation for 15-20 minutes twice a day. You can use volini gel or spray provided you are not allergic. You can also take a ECG to rule out cardiac pain.
Next Steps
If the pain persist or aggrevates you should consult a physiotherapist in person for complete assessment and treatment.

Since the pain is on movement,  chance for a cardiac problem is unlikely.  Still would recommend an ECG for safety reasons. If the problem is persistent and is over more than 3 weeks , get an xray done to rule out any lesions.

There could be muscle trigger points that means muscle will be tight on upper back between shoulder blade, could be deep muscles as, Neck muscle and shoulder muscles. These are the muscles which function a lot during your work. You can do icing, posture correction, muscle trigger can be released by any physiotherapist, stretching exercises. You can try dry needling (only professionals can do, do not try at home), one very effective treatment for muscle trigger point release.
Next Steps
icing is must

Yes an ECG is good. Visit a Manual therapist as this could be an issue with rib strain or muscular imbalance of your scapular area. The other area of the neck also needs assessment.
