Hi. i went through you OPG. you'll have to your root canal treatment done in the right molar tooth 1st and then the doc will give you a cap what we call it as crown. The size of the tooth will be reduced and then you will be given a cap. the pain will subside after the root canal is done, so dont worry. There are different options available for cap . metal crown, metal ceramic crown, all ceramic crown. its depend on what option you want to go for based on the budget as well. since its a molar i would recommend you to go for metal ceramic if cost is a prob.
Cap can be fixed on sound tooth ,root canal treated tooth or in missing tooth involving adjacent teeth on both sides. You can consult through this for further details. Visit your dentist regarding charges.
For cap your existing tooth will be trimmed a bit and the cap will be fixed on it. If you take the neccesary precautions told to you by the doctor the cap will sustain nicely for many years. There will be no side effect.
You can manage the pain for now with medicines but the pain will come back again once you stop the medicine since the infection is prominent its better you get it treated.
