Diagnosed as Stage 1 breast cancer, ER,PR positive;Her2 neu negative.what is the prognosis and treatment as the patient is 61 yr old female with diabetes and is on Glyciphage 500mg ,twice daily

Share the histopath report which includes tumor size, grade and lymphnodes involved. She may be treated with hormone therapy alone if all factors are favorable in histopathology.

Well, it looks like a good cancer to me.. your oncologist would suggest further treatment based on the stage. She is expected to do well if she follows the right advise. All the best.

Prognosis for stage I is good provided treatment started on time. 5 year survival is around 95%. Treatment involve surgery: either Mastectomy or Breast conservation surgery, followed by Adjuvant chemotherapy and / or radiation therapy depending upon Final histopathology report.
