Is it ok to remove the part of breast which us affected or is it better to remove the total breast, and what diet to follow after surgery

Its ok to remove part of breast also many times. Almost all times, patient should get radiation after removing part of breast. But it should be decided based on tumor extent , size , IHC status etc. It depends on many factors. For this question, best way is to discuss each point with the surgical and medical oncologist doctors directly where we explain advantages and disadvantages of each in detail. After getting discharged after surgery, diet would be normal as it was before surgery. Just after operation, surgeon will take care of dietary issues till the patient is discharged. Thank you

It depends on size , and of the lesion and.response to chemotherapy if it's a larger lesion. Bland diet can be followed with less spices after.surgery. if part of breast only removed radiation to chest wall is needed. If total breast is removed radiation is given if lymphnodes are positive or if size is more than or equal to 5 cm at presentation
