Hi, After removal of lump, chemotherapy is needed to prevent recurrence and metastasis at other sites. Breast cancer is systemic disease so, there are chances of spreading at other tissue. Usually 6-8 cycle of chemotherapy are given according to stage, other comorbidity and general condition of patient.  Radiotherapy may be needed in some cases to prevent local recurrence. It is given after chemotherapy.
Next Steps
give detailed history,  histopathology report after operation.
