Bleeding gums
My gums are swollen and bleeding from gums from last three four days. Please suggest any medicine for that.

One of the most common causes of gum swelling is plaque and tartar. Poor oral hygiene leads to gum diseases and dental cavities. Tartar (calculus) needs to be removed by the dentist, by a procedure known as dental cleaning (scaling). Professional dental cleaning and proper oral hygiene can solve the issue in most of the cases, but definite treatment will depend on your medical, dental history and clinical examination.

Hello,
Bleeding & swollen gums due tartar and plaque acumulation between gums and teeth ..
Need clinical evualtion followed by Deep cleaning ( Scaling ) under local anesthesia followed by mouth rinses and Medication . Correct brushing technique.

If the swelling and bleeding is in particular area, then it might be due to 2 reasons
1. Local gum trauma due to harsh brushing, pricking with pin or tooth pick
2. Might be decay( caries ) in that particular tooth
If the swelling and bleeding is all over the gums, then you might need a professional cleaning.
Professional cleaning is advisable twice a year, if needed.
Please visit the dentist and go for the treatment plan accordingly.

Please let us know that only some part of it is swollen or it's generalized... For now go with warm saline rinse 4 to 5 time a day, brush gently with soft bristle brush

Hi,
Gum bleeding is usually a sign of gingivitis.The most common cause of gingivitis is accumulation of plaque and tartar due to poor oral hygiene. Also gingivitis can be aggravated by a host of local and systemic factors like pregnancy, hormonal changes , diabetes.

You will need to visit a dentist for a through examination followed by scaling and polishing of your teeth.The dentist will also educate you on the proper oral hygiene to e followed.He/she will also evaluate for other local and systemic factors.

Bleeding from gums can be due to deposits around the gum or some infection in the adjacent teeth .
If you could attach pictures , would be able to diagnose the cause better and suggest treatment accordingly
