it's important to have it examined by a dentist or oral surgeon for an accurate diagnosis. Some potential causes of such growths include: Oral melanotic macule: This is a benign, flat, brown or black lesion that can occur on the lips, inside the cheeks, or on the gums. It is usually painless and harmless. Oral fibroma: This is a benign growth of fibrous tissue that can appear as a small, soft, smooth, or raised bump. It is typically painless and doesn't pose a serious health risk. Oral mucosal pigmentation: Some people naturally have areas of increased pigmentation on the mucous membranes of the mouth, resulting in dark spots or patches. Oral nevi: These are pigmented moles that can occur inside the mouth. They are typically benign but should be monitored by a healthcare professional. However, it's important to note that without a physical examination, it is not possible to provide an accurate diagnosis. Only a qualified healthcare professional can evaluate the growth and provide appropriate advice. Encourage your father to consult with a dentist or oral surgeon for a thorough examination and proper diagnosis. They will be able to determine the nature of the growth and recommend any necessary treatment or further evaluation.
