You are feeling nervous about the exam and you have urinary tract infection. The pressure of doing well in the exam combined with urinary tract infection is making you feel anxious and depressed. Hi
It sounds like you are experiencing performance anxiety or test anxiety.
Try this
1) shift focus from outcome towards process.
- "what do I need to do today?"
2) reduce pressure by noticing when you are thinking in extremes or absolutes.
- thoughts of worry and "what if?" questions can create a lot of pressure. Ask yourself "how likely is this to actually happen? "
3) sleeping better- the above two should be helpful in calming your thoughts and might help with sleeping.
- If however you aren't able to sleep then twenty to thirty minutes before sleeping try some relaxation techniques, deep breathing or just relax your muscles, Progressive Muscle Relaxation can also be used.
4) guided Imagery is helpful in reducing performance anxiety
5) please book an appointment with a mental health professional who can guide you with the above steps.
I hope you find the help you are looking for.
