My friend has been diagnosed with anxiety disorder. He has been advised to take sertraline hydrochloride along with etyzom. He has had sertra before and he had very uncomfortable side effects. So, instead, is there any Ayurvedic options for anxiety disorder ?

It is unfortunate that your friend experienced such side effects. Being an allopathic Psychiatrist, I am not entitled to opine about Ayurvedic options. However, there are many options available within allopathy which can help your friend. For this, a deeper understanding of his symptoms, as well as, the specific details of side effects is required. Psychotherapy can be of great help in treatment of anxiety disorders without need of medications.
