My daughter is a dancer and she twisted her ankle about over a week ago during a performance and was diagnosed with a sprain and muscle strain. She's been advised rest for 3 weeks and to use an aircast but still has mobility issues and can't walk without a limp. Its now painless but it's been about 10 days and we're worried it may be a ligament injury instead and are seeking a second opinion.

Sprain is a ligamentous injury.
Air cast is a good alternative but try to keep ankle in rest for 6 weeks and try not to walk more.
Limp or difficulty in walking shall persist till air cast is on.
Next Steps
Share x-rays.
Health Tips
