Anal fissure
3 years back I suffered from anal fissure because of long hours of study for govt job exams. I consulted a general surgeon once at starting. After 1-2 weeks of treatment my problem is solved but again my fissure occured. I myself from 2 -2.5 years diagnose my fissure at home by using calcium channel blocker cream, sitz bath, taking psyllium husk and drinks at least 4 ltrs of water but my fissure come again and again. I am very disappointed. Now I have a fissure along with tag and also hard pain lump just above the fissure. The lump never seen but feel when touched. Today I press the lump. When I press the lump blood is coming from fissure cut. I never feel pain while press and bleeding, even I feel relaxed. My lump become very small after pressing because collected blood is flowing out. But I feel pain while sitting. Please suggest me something

Patient's detailed medical history is required. It is recommended to consult a doctor professional through the Practo app or visit a local medical facility for a thorough evaluation. Please keep in mind that detailed medical history is crucial for proper diagnosis and treatment.

**Your Opinion:** It's concerning that your anal fissure keeps recurring despite your efforts to manage it at home. The presence of a lump above the fissure along with bleeding indicates a more serious issue that needs medical attention. **Next Steps:** 1. **Consultation with a Specialist:** Schedule an appointment with a colorectal surgeon or a gastroenterologist for a thorough evaluation and management plan. 2. **Examination and Tests:** The specialist will conduct a physical examination and may recommend additional tests such as a colonoscopy to assess the extent of the condition and rule out other underlying issues. 3. **Treatment Options:** Based on the evaluation, the specialist will suggest appropriate treatment options, which may include medications, topical treatments, dietary changes, or surgical interventions like fissurectomy or sphincterotomy. 4. **Follow-up and Lifestyle Modifications:** Follow the specialist's advice diligently, and make necessary lifestyle modifications to promote healing and prevent recurrence. This may include dietary fiber intake, hydration, proper bowel habits, and avoiding straining during bowel movements.
