A well-balanced diet with right portions of macro and micronutrients and restricted processed foods intake can help you achieve better health and fitness. -For majority of your meals, try to focus on consuming whole foods rather than processed or packaged foods. -Instead of whole eggs, do consume egg whites or egg whites-based preparations. -For chicken, try to switch to lean chicken and have it in form of grilled, tandoori or as salads / soups and avoid cream / malai based gravies or biryani's since they contain higher fat and calories content. Do avoid red meats and organ meats. -You can consume low fat milk or toned milk instead of full fat milk as a better alternative. -Do include food options such as oats, dalia, quinoa, millets as they contain more fiber and help in weight managing as well. -Try to follow the ideal plate method while planning your meals where you fill half of your plate with green vegetables (soups, salads, stir fry), one fourth of your plate with complex carbohydrates (quinoa, oats, dalia) and rest one fourth of your plate with good quality protein sources (dals, legumes, pulses, egg whites, fish, lean chicken).
