Allergic rhinitis is a chronic condition caused by sensitivity of the nasal passages to allergens (like dust, pollen, weather changes). The treatment you are on – antihistamines, nasal steroid sprays, and inhalers when required – is standard and effective in controlling symptoms, but it does not completely ‘cure’ the allergy.
Next Steps
Try to identify and avoid triggers (dust, strong perfumes, cold air, pollen). Regular nasal saline rinses help keep the nose clear and reduce irritation. Continue using your prescribed sprays regularly during bad seasons, even when symptoms are mild. For a more long-term approach, an allergy test (skin prick or blood test) can help identify specific allergens. If a definite allergen is found, allergen immunotherapy (allergy vaccine/ desensitization) may reduce the severity and frequency of attacks over time.
Health Tips
At present, there is no instant permanent cure, but with the right preventive care and possibly immunotherapy, symptoms can be brought under very good control.

Hello, Your symptoms are consistent with chronic allergic rhinitis with seasonal worsening, now aggravated due to Bangalore weather. The medications you are on (Montelukast + Levocetirizine, intranasal steroid spray, and Foracort inhaler) are appropriate, but since your symptoms are persisting, we should evaluate further. 👉 I would suggest you get the following tests done: Serum IgE levels Absolute eosinophil count (AEC) These help confirm allergy tendency and guide further management. If significantly raised, an allergy panel/skin prick test can be done to identify exact triggers. For long-term control, the only disease-modifying treatment is allergen immunotherapy (desensitisation) after identifying the allergen. Along with this, continue lifestyle measures like nasal saline rinses, dust/pollen control, and indoor air purification. You can connect with me on Practo for detailed guidance once your reports are ready, or reach me at eight five two seven one six four six seven seven. – Dr. Romain Rajan General Physician

When you are symptom free, get allergy tests done, so that if possible you can avoid some allergy producing substances. Consult an ENT surgeon physically to exclude deviated nasal septum ( DNS), something that causes recurrent cold and is curable. Do  steam inhalation regularly 2 to 3 times, with karvol capsule.
Next Steps
when breathlessness occurs, due you get lung congestion as well? If so, you can use 2 puffs of salbutamol  mouth inhaler. If not, get yourself examined by a physician physically.

You can do a CBC, IgE,PFT tests to check for the allergy. For the symptomatic relief you can use foracort inhaler one pff daily as a maintenance dose ,and one pff as needed,as releif dose.Take histafree M once a day for a few weeks and duonase nasal spray once a day for the relief of nasal block. The newer biologics can definitely help you in the Long term if the blood tests show  elevated eosinophils  and IgE
